Green details

About the show Details the artist writes: This exhibition is all about details, about the unseen beauty all around us. Everywhere we look are textures and details and colours which are delightful. Details explores different subjects and colours and how when assembled together they form a new artwork. The play of the colours and textures in each photograph is explored, and the way the photographs compliment each other or sing out against each other. The work of Rosalie Gascoigne is an inspiration for this exhibition. I love the way she arranged urban textures and objects into works of art. I am also fascinated with magazine and book layouts and the new relationships that are formed by the positioning of the photographs. I love the textures in recycled timber and found objects and enjoy incorporating these into my work as framing materials.
About ASG: In 2008 when a small space became available in Sydney's vibrant Surry Hills we decided to open ASG to showcase contemporary art by emerging and established artists, this is very much a ‘work in progress’, we hope you join us on the journey. Please email us to join our mailing list and check back here for details of our next exhibition.
