Dalia Maron

Tuesday - Saturday, 11am - 5pm or by appointment

Albion Street Gallery in Surry Hills first show for 2010 opens 15 January with Sydney artist
Dalia Maron. ‘Expanding the Circle’ comprises new works on canvas and constructions centred around the visual motif of the spiral.

Dalia explains her inspiration, “The idea for this body of work came to me through meditation.
I saw a spiral form and felt it had a mysterious resonance with the human spirit.”

Michael McCorry, gallery director says “Dalia Maron is a respected artist and teacher, she has had solo shows at the Robin Gibson Gallery in Sydney and her works have been exhibited in group shows within Australia and overseas.”

Dalia Maron describes the working process for ‘Expanding the Circle’ as being in and out of control with the medium utilising the accidental. She says, “I have applied layered mono printing with paint to create random patterns and textures and the gold leaf stands for an ancient Alchemical symbol of transformation.

Spirals us all. Me to you - you to nature, and us to the greater universe.”
